YouTube banner on tablets: what shows and what gets cut
Tablets show the middle 1855 × 423 of your 2560 × 1440 YouTube banner: x 352 to 2208, y 508 to 932. That is the same on every iPad and Android tablet, in the YouTube app and in a browser, portrait or landscape: the strip only scales. Keep text inside the 1546 × 423 safe area and it shows here and everywhere else.

Tablet-only bands
Two narrow bands, x 352 to 507 and x 2053 to 2208, show on tablets and desktops but not on phones. Background art can run through them; text cannot.

Turning the tablet or switching from the app to a browser changes how wide the strip is drawn, not which part of the banner is in it. The profile photo sits below the banner, so nothing covers the strip itself.
Tablet fixes
- •Name cut at the edges. Move it inside x 507 to 2053; the tablet trims 352 px from each side.
- •Headline missing. Anything above y 508 or below y 932 is TV only.
- •Upload. 2560 × 1440, under 6 MB, JPG or PNG. A 5120 × 2880 file is over the limit.
